All of the beloved arcade classics, including Donkey Kong, Tetris, Pac-Man, and Space Invaders, are combined in this virtual arcade. Take in the nostalgic ambiance of poorly lit arcades, the steady beat of clicking buttons, and the unwavering will to beat every record. For fans of classic video games, it’s a feast and the ideal way to revisit the good old days.
The menu layout of the Visco Collection is similar to Capcom’s Arcade Stadium, albeit with less money. It functions in a straightforward 2D format with a single static arcade machine that cycles through the various games on its screen, but it has a similar glow. Although it might not appeal to everyone, this is pretty nicely done. Although it can be changed from the menu for each game, the default sound level is far too low. Each title includes a heads-up that indicates its online and multiplayer capabilities.

While the Visco Collection doesn’t have high-end 3D menus or the granular wallpaper and filter options of other collections, it’s still a fun and accurately emulated series of seven solid arcade games. It’s a shame, however, that Puzzle de Pon, the Vasaras, and Breakers didn’t cut — even if the latter two are available in other Switch collections — as they would certainly have boosted it to the next level.
